Never too early to prepare wood. Here is some wood Brian chopped seasoning.
Brian is excited to work on outdoor projects now that winter is over. What’s he making now? stay tuned!
How to make a flowerpot out of an old plastic container: – get one old plastic container – punch holes in the bottom with a knife – fill with dirt and your plant presto! you just made a flowerpot. See how nice mine turned out?
Brian putting in the new sink. Later he will finish the cabinets, so for now the sink skirt I made will go back on.
Remember my old ugly bath mat I was recovering in denim? here is the finished product. I decided to use it in the downstairs bathroom
I just love denim! Last month we tore out the old broken dishwasher and cabinets, but have been so busy with work still not done with fixing the sink back up. It looks terrible! very ugly. So I decided to make a nice sink skirt to pretty things back up in the kitchen. It took [...]
I have this old dingy bath mat that I can’t brighten…tried washing several times. I thought about dying it but decided to just cover it with denim. I have lots of scraps I can use. This way I don’t have to throw it out and buy a new bathroom mat. It’s still functional, just ugly, [...]
Brian repaired the garage roof. It was really bad. He had to replace lots of old shingles. My in-laws came over and helped out quite a bit, as did Scott & Todd.
Brian took out the old broken dishwasher and lower cabinets, doing some repairs and stuff.
Brian fixed the screens for the front porch, yay! Now we can relax and enjoy spending time out there without the annoyance of flies and other flying critters.
I recovered our dining room chairs with fabric from old dresses I no longer wanted. The green one was too big and the black one made me look like a witch LOL! plus it had a plaid collar and I can’t stand prints. I’ve been wanting to re-do the chairs for a while but this [...]
We had some old tiles and wood. We needed some tables for the patio Brian built last summer. He made some. He rocks! He’s made 3 so far, two square ones and one long rectangle one. He’s going to make some high square one for my bookstore also, excitement! We both get such joy out [...]
Beaded ring I made with hemp cord. Now on my etsy store! This blog entry written by Trula Breckenridge. Thanks for visiting Family Footprint!
I’m making some bags out of old fabric samples and plastic grocery bags. I’m using the plastic for the handles and the fabric for the outside of the bag. Here is one almost done, just have to put in liner. The closure is Velcro. As each fabric swatch I got is different, each bag will [...]
I’m making some cowrie shell rings to sell for my fashion line Earthy Style. Here is one, I’ll have a batch ready end of June. This blog entry written by Trula Breckenridge. Thanks for visiting Family Footprint!
Right now I’m mainly working on the quilts for my kids. I make them each a quilt every year. I’m also working on some scarves for family members, aprons, and a big quilt for my folks. Some small bags for friends and other family members. I’m gonna put on my thinking cap and get creative. [...]
Mu husband Mercury Man got a new (ok gently used) car and our daughter I-bop’s car is shot (she got a car from the parents of one of her friends for free, but the engine cradle is about to fall out) so we’re going to trade it in for parts and get her a used [...]
I thought I posted about this here, but I can’t find the post. I either did not post it or I deleted it accidentally. Anyway, enjoy! My husband made a little patio area in the back yard where we usually have a fire going in a grill. This is much nicer! and cheaper to do [...]
