We just got back from Cincinnati, where we went to visit my dad in the hospital. He had a heart attack. He is recovering well but it was a scary time there for a minute. When we got back home I was so happy to see my sunflowers! It cheered me up because my dad, like me, loves sunflowers.

Did you know that sunflowers are native to the Americas? I didn’t. It is thought they were first domesticated 2600 B.C.
