Carrots

The corn fared poorly this year, but I figued out it was because I grew carrots in between each row. Duh!! the carrots got all the nutrients. oh well, live and learn, right?

Some carrots right before being dug up. I love carrots best of all in gardening, because I always forget about them sort of after planting them in late spring. Then end of summer, early fall, they are ready and it’s such a surprise, this orange mystery that quietly grew underground beneath my feet.

Some garden carrots getting cleaned and prepped before cooking. These went into a stir-fry! I used the scrubby brush to peel the outer layer off, as you can see the carrots were still grungy after washing.
