We spent yesterday day at my husband’s cousin’s farm with Jeff and his wife Shelly and their two older boys who are 11 and 8. They also have a baby boy who is 9 months old. They are wonderful people, really good and kind people. It was a blast to see them again and spend the day on their farm! We hadn’t seen them since the Christmas holidays. They are all natural farmers; they do not use any insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or chemical fertilizer. When they bought their farm the land was overrun with pests and within a few years using permaculture methods they turned it around. Now the farm is self-supporting and their livelihood, they started a CSA and also sell to local restaurants.
Here’s a good article about their farm: Local family meets needs, works to change countryside
