Tomatoes & Turnip Greens September 2007

Some cherry tomatoes and turnip greens. I have yet to dig up the turnips because I don’t really like turnips; I just plant a bunch each year because I ADORE turnip greens. I need to get at them soon though.

This is why I wasn’t worried about having to re-start my tomatoes in early summer because the ones I sowed in the spring died in a late frost: I knew I’d have tomatoes ripening at least until end of September. We have so many coming ripe I fill this bowl at least once a day. We eat them as snack food and in salads.
