If you live in an area where it is winter now, do you know when your anticipated last frost date is? Mine could be as early as April 2nd!! (but as late as May 18th, although I think one site has last year’s dates up) I find this very exciting, I cannot wait to garden. I plan to start my indoor pots end of next month so I will have lots of seedlings that’ll be ready to put in the ground come April. I am going to do 3 plantings this year: a spring crop, a summer crop, and a fall crop. Last year I just did summer and so missed out on getting a lot of good spring crops in. For example, spinach. I did end up with a nice bounty of spinach but not enough to last through the winter, bummer, we are already out. and a lot of my spinach and broccli went to seed once it got really hot. So this spring I am going to plant lots of spinach, also lettuce, peas, and broccoli.

If you are doing spring crops, what are you planting?
